Dealership Customer Data

Dealership clients are responsible for ensuring that customer information provided to VehicleSend has been collected and may be used for the intended purpose in accordance with applicable privacy and electronic communications laws.
VehicleSend processes dealership customer information only as necessary to provide services to the applicable dealership and does not sell dealership customer lists or use a customer list supplied by one dealership to market on behalf of another dealership.
PIPEDA and Privacy
VehicleSend recognizes the principles established under PIPEDA concerning the collection, use, disclosure, safeguarding and retention of personal information.
We seek to collect and process only the personal information reasonably necessary to provide our services and to use that information for the purposes for which it was provided, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Where VehicleSend processes personal information on behalf of a dealership client, we work with that dealership to appropriately protect and manage the information entrusted to us.
CASL and Commercial Email
VehicleSend provides email marketing services designed to support our dealership clients in meeting their obligations under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Dealership clients are responsible for establishing the appropriate consent or other lawful basis for sending commercial electronic messages to recipients included in lists they provide to VehicleSend.
Commercial email campaigns sent through VehicleSend include sender identification and an unsubscribe mechanism where required. VehicleSend also provides tools and processes for handling unsubscribe requests, bounces and suppression of email addresses that should no longer receive applicable marketing communications.
We do not knowingly re-add an unsubscribed email address to an applicable mailing list unless there is an appropriate basis to do so.
How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide requested information;
- Provide and administer VehicleSend services;
- Create, send and manage dealership email campaigns;
- Process mailing lists and identify invalid or undeliverable email addresses;
- Manage unsubscribe and suppression information;
- Provide campaign reporting, including delivery, open, click, bounce and unsubscribe information;

VehicleSend uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, satisfy contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain appropriate business records.
Certain information, including unsubscribe and suppression records, may be retained where reasonably necessary to ensure that communication preferences continue to be respected and to support compliance with applicable electronic communications requirements.
Access, Correction and Privacy Requests

If your information was originally collected by one of our dealership clients, VehicleSend may refer your request to that dealership or assist the dealership in responding to the request.
